The Windsor Players and the Drexel Dragons agreed to a trade which brings a big time bat to Windsor while sending a few prospects to Drexel. General Managers Mark Turner (Windsor) and Matt Adams (Drexel) finalized a deal late Thursday evening that sent minor leaguers CL-Barnes and 2B-Kuehn to Drexel in return for RF-Gary Williams. Williams will make an instant impact on Windsor's offense while we'll probably have to wait a few seasons before we see how it turns out for Drexel. CL-Barnes has an electric arm and has the makings of a great closer in the making. |

Beaver Mania!
The city of Beavertown has got a fever and the only cure is more Beavers' baseball! The Beavers have jumped out to a quick start and are well deserving of their 24-13 record which tops all teams in the Retro Leagues. On the mound the Beavers are lead by starting pitcher Mother Mutchler who has been perfect so far this season with a 6-0 mark. At the plate the man has been rightfielder Patrick Jackson. Jackson, hitting .353, 12 HRs, 1.135 OPS, and recieving 3 awards has had quite a week. Jackson was given Rookie of the Month, Batter of the Month, and Player of the Week honors. When asked about his recent individual achievements he replied, "Its all great, but they mean nothing to me if we arn't racking up the Ws!" |
